Overview
The instructor will conduct, and assist in the development of, maintenance training programs to enhance the skills of trainees. The instructor will conduct technical instruction within their specified trade and knowledge areas. The instructor will conduct trainee assessments and will provide remedial training where necessary. The instructor will review/amend course material in order to ensure training effectiveness. The instructor will also maintain records of training activities and of student attendance.
1. Perform technical instruction on a range of technical training including aircraft maintenance, general technical training and specialist technical training topics.
2. Provide necessary technical information, guidance, and support to product design specialists.
3. Review, assist in the development of, and/or recommend changes of course material to line management.
4. Conduct classroom and platform instruction in line with training schedules.
5. Produce required reports for each course delivered.
6. Contribute to internal validation activities to ensure effectiveness of training.
7. Maintain classroom discipline and manage the learning process of trainees.
8. Responsible for general housekeeping for all assigned areas.
9. Maintain trainee records such as attendance, and prepare resources and materials required for instruction.
10. Perform any other duties as assigned by line management.

Qualification
Minimum Qualification:
Civilian aircraft maintenance licence or certificate, e.g. (Mechanical) A&P certificate or B1/B2 licence; and/or
Military aircraft maintenance trade licence or certificate.
Bachelor’s degree in an aircraft maintenance discipline (Airframe/Powerplant; Electrical/Avionics; Aircraft Maintenance technology) is highly desirable.
Instructional techniques / ‘Train-the-Trainer’ certificate and/or acceptance/ approval/certification by a civilian/military agency/organization.
Experience
Minimum 8 years experience qualified in aircraft maintenance trade.
Minimum of 3 years experience on aircraft type;
Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience teaching technical (maintenance) material with a related aircraft/engine/major component manufacturer, or within a military/civilian aircraft maintenance organization; and/or
Prior experience working with military aviation units is preferred; and
Knowledge of, and experience in, training methodologies and management utilizing a systems approach (SAT or ADDIE) is highly desirable.
