Overview
To perform moderately complex avionics aircraft maintenance and repair for equipment such as wires, radar, radio, pulse, navigation in a timely manner and in accordance with applicable technical orders, standards and regulations.
Perform O, I and D Level when its applicable.
Will also be responsible for:
1. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
2. Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents, using hand tools.
3. Calibrate installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.
4. Perform scheduled service and maintenance tasks to aircraft avionic system components and report problems related to maintaining, servicing, and inspecting avionic aircraft system and related aerospace equipment.
5. Perform unscheduled troubleshoots and maintain assigned to aircraft systems, components, and related equipment.
6. Perform tasks with technician teams in conducting functional tests of repaired components and systems according to applicable standards and procedures.
7. Fill maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports as required to ensure complete documentation.
8. Report findings and issues to supervisor and proceed with the adopted solution ensuring proper implementation of tasks performed.
9. Perform basic launch and recovery to avionics equipment to ensure they are working appropriately.
10. Install and maintain visual landing aids as instructed per adopted procedures.
11. Maintain logs of airplane launches, recoveries, and equipment maintenance.
12. Perform repair and maintenance tasks on issues encountered during typical recovery missions.
13. Provide on-the-job training and coaching to technicians on basic tasks and procedures to support their development.
14. Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
15. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
16. Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
