Overview
To perform moderately complex aircraft maintenance and repair in accordance with applicable technical orders, standards, regulations, and job guides.
Perform O, I and D Level when it’s applicable.
will also be responsible for :
1. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
2. Maintenance and Repair
3. Inspect, troubleshoot, service, and maintain large and highly complex aircraft systems, components and related aerospace equipment.
4. Perform highly multifaceted aircraft and component inspections to ensure they are working properly. Interpret inspection findings and determine adequacy of corrective actions.
5. Inspect and identify major aircraft corrosion in order to repair it and identify reasons for it for future prevention purposes.
6. Conduct functional tests of components and systems to ensure they are have been repaired properly and problems have been addressed.
7. Review maintenance data collection reports to determine trends and production effectiveness.
8. Provide on-the-job training and coaching to junior and senior technicians to support their overall development.
9. When maintenance problems are encountered, act as a technical expert/ advisor to ensure the timely resolution of issues and minimization of downtime. Elevate issues that cannot be resolved at his/her level.
10. Aircraft Launch/ Recovery
11. Operate and maintain arresting gear, and associated mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems involved primarily in aircraft carrier take-off and landing operations.
12. Test and maintain launch and recovery equipment to ensure they are working appropriately.
13. Maintain logs of airplane launches, recoveries, and equipment maintenance.
14. Perform inspections on aircraft before launch and after recovery and provide signoff on flyable condition when all airworthiness requirements are met.
15. Operate all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) as required to service aircraft while on ground.
16. Identify maintenance and troubleshooting requirements during aircraft recovery.

18. Prepare multifaceted statements and reports (e.g., deficiency reports, maintenance analysis documents, technical data changes, and equipment records) timely and accurately to meet GAL and departmental requirements, policies and standards.
19. Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

21. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
22. Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
