Overview
Senior Engineer Field Services provides functional inputs and deliverables assigned for overall performance of the Engineering function. Coordinating in the engineering aspects as per sectional responsibilities, including aspects related to design, development, maintenance, technical support as requested.
Will also be responsible for
-Establishes and follows-up an effective internal/external communication mechanism to create Engineering teamwork environment at the base.
-Ensures all tasks and deliverables are in full compliance with the applicable Engineering policies and procedures as well as safety and airworthiness standards.
-Ensures O and I level engineering service be provided on time and with accuracy.
-Analyzes and provides engineering resolutions to fleet problems ensuring that the safety and airworthiness norms are adhered.
-Defines and prepares O and I level deliverables at the base to support operation, coordinates if required for the support on other levels.
-Maintains liaisons with internal and external customers (OEM, vendors, OCEs on site) relating to field service requirements.
-Coordinates and provides assessments. evaluation and embodiment authorization for all OEM Service Bulletins, Directives, Technical Notices etc., for all related aircraft systems.
-Supports life cycle improvement programs, such as operational usage evaluation or life extension, in close coordination with Engineering-Central.
-Coordinates delivery of deviation documents through central office as required after OEM approval.
-Prepares and follows training/development programs (PIP, CDP etc.) for report line.
-Provides data to Engineering-central office staff regarding reliability, developments, obsolescence, modifications and cMRO needs.
-Coordinates and manages on-time implementation of specifications, SB (Service Bulletin), AD (Airworthiness Directive) etc. applicable to the aircraft at the base.
-Gathers and consolidates obsolescence data into cohesive and logical categories for analysis, understands the results and formulate conclusions and recommendations based on the analytical results.
-Manages and monitors engineering and library activities at the base to provide accurate and on time service with full compliance with effective engineering policy and procedures.
-Understands and delivers the contractual requirements with its deliverables as related to the sectional area of responsibilities.
-Works closely with his/ her counterparts in-house in the interest of the department.
-Maintains regular contact with technical department of all GAL AMMROC customers to remain abreast of any technical difficulties that arise on the aircraft being supported.
-Attends conferences, workshops, etc. as necessary to remain abreast of the technical advances in the field of aviation with respect to the customers’ aircraft being supported by GAL AMMROC
-Stimulates subordinates and contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
-Supervises the preparation of timely and accurate departmental MIS statements and reports of GAL AMMROC to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards
-Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude
-Recommends an optimum organization structure for the Engineering Management section so that resources are optimally utilized and communication can take place in an efficient manner
-Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
