Team Lead - Quality Control & Engineering

Overview
The Team Lead is the resident ILS expert and is responsible for managing the technical process through which supportability and logistic support considerations are integrated into the design of a system and taken into account throughout its life cycle. They are responsible for the process by which all elements of logistic support, and maintenance are planned, acquired, tested, and provided in a timely and cost-effective manner.
He/she should be capable of balancing complex issues requiring detailed evaluation of factors and to exercise judgement in selecting methods, techniques and other analytical criteria to develop ILS concepts that improves aircraft reliability and lowers operational cost by developing, examining, analysing, and validating aircraft operational data, Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and other operational inputs.
1. Manages and establishes procedures for analyzing maintenance and operational readiness of various aircraft for the customer.
2. Manages and establishes procedures for analyzing equipment & aircraft failures and recommend corrective action to bring the aircraft and equipment into operation.
3. Provides input to aircraft maintenance planning data and long-term maintenance plans for the aircraft.
4. Manages and establishes procedures for analyzing maintenance logs to determine if failures are within norms or indicate any trends that might require a change in maintenance practice or logistics provisioning.
5. Manages the preparation of reports summarizing key fleet performance indicators.
6. Manages the development of annual Life Cycle Management Plans (LCMP) for each aircraft type.
7. Coordinates and communicate key requirements within aircraft Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to satisfy operational requirements.
8. Conducts business case and other analysis to support the addition of new capabilities at customer site, i.e., new shop equipment.
9. Develops systems and processes to identify innovative, integrated solutions to enhance and lower the cost of through life support of the aircraft.
10. Collaborates with other operational entities to ensure accuracy of findings and recommendations.
11. supervises all assigned ILS personnel and adheres to all quality and safety standards.
12. May delegate authority and functions to other personnel but must retain responsibility for all assigned personnel.

Qualification
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Maintenance or Program Management is preferred. or a minimum of 7 years experience performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description.
Holds an active FAA Power Plant license or an Equivalent Licensing from a Civil Aviation Authority.
Experience
Minimum of 12 Years Experience in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering or Logistics Management experience, military or equivalent civilian experience. (Preferably experience in all three categories).
Minimum of 2 Years experience in performing maintenance trends and cost analysists to integrate solutions and propose recommendations.
Must have prior management experience in directing maintenance, engineering or logistics programs on military aircraft.
Must have demonstrated experience briefing customers on strategic and tactical issues effecting aircraft Reliability and Cost of Ownership.
