Engineer - Structural

The Structures / Fatigue engineer will be responsible for design support, analysis, and certification of the structural aspects of aircraft repairs and modification. Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the aircraft is structurally sound and integral throughout the operating envelope and ensuring that the airframe is durable, free from crack propagation, and tolerant of the unexpected damage that might occur during operational life.
Experienced in basic structural analysis techniques, finite element stress analysis, static and dynamic loads development, and materials.
Develops and provides engineering solutions for the overhaul and repair of military aircraft structural components, requiring a sound knowledge of the principles, theories, and concepts that are consistent with OEM and/or JAC regulations.

Will Also be responsible for:

1. Develop and assess design criteria, requirements, and specification for aircraft structures and mechanical interfaces.
2. critically assess detailed designs, and conduct technical studies to assure the structural integrity and stability of existing and new components to static, dynamic and thermal loads
3. Perform advanced structural analysis using a range of mathematical, testing, and computational methods.
4. Decide on material selection, configuration and sizing for new airframe structures as well as providing production and field support.
5. Work alongside other organizations from engineering, customer, flight test, and airworthiness (AMO) to support a broad range of projects by providing his/her technical expertise.
6. Involvement in root cause analysis of complex failures to improve aircraft reliability. Including support of accident investigations.
7. Reviews damage reports to develop repair schemes, authors work instructions, and performs the stress analysis and substantiation supporting the repair with no supervision.
8. Review and interpret technical documents such as Drawings, Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Material Specifications, Process Specifications, etc.
9. Troubleshoot failure modes and interact with other engineers in the department to develop cost effective repairs that are feasible to accomplish in a timely manner that supports production schedule.
10. Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective objectives.
11. Implement approved Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department work programs in line with Company and customer standards and requirements..

Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering required.
- A&P; EASA or equivalent license is preferred.Advanced understanding of Commercial and Business Aviation training.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 Years Experience in structural mechanics such as composite materials, nonlinear materials, cracks, fracture, and fatigue behavior
- Fixed Wing and/or Rotary wing engineering experience as applicable to the position applied for is preferred.
- Experience in mechanical components and electronic equipment analysis.
- Full conversant with aircraft regulatory requirements and maintenance documentations.
- Advanced computer qualification, with emphasis on condition monitoring , stress analysis and designee software.
- Experience in Strength of Materials, analysis of Composite Materials, and Stress Analysis is desired
