The Production Plan & Control Manager is the principal Maintenance Manager and Coordinator for the Aircraft Maintenance Planning. The PPCM coordinates maintenance at both the AVUM and AVIM level. The PPCM is the Aviation Maintenance Manager’s primary maintenance advisor for internal production and maintenance actions within the AVUM and AVIM. While the Maintenance Manager is responsible for all maintenance issues, the PPCM controls the daily maintenance operations and workflow. The PPCM will harmonize all efforts between management at the AVUM and AVIM to maximize the operational readiness of the assigned fleets. The PPCM will be the commanders point of contact on maintenance flow and scheduling of aircraft into and out of maintenance. The PPCM will oversee the different agencies involved for aircraft modifications.
will also be responsible for:
1. Coordinate maintenance efforts with both the AVUM and AVIM for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
2. Be the Primary Maintenance Advisor to the AVIM Maintenance Manager and Customer.
3. Coordinate maintenance, shops and logistics into the daily maintenance workflow of the AVIM and support the AVUM where and when needed.
4. Facilitate the Production Control meeting for the AVIM and advice key personnel to establish a positive communication flow.
5. Track aircraft Operational Readiness Rate for Fleet and prepare weekly/ monthly reports.
6. Responsible for managing maintenance planning and forecasting to support the unit mission.
7. Responsible for ensuring that an efficient system is in place for monitoring the status of all aircraft maintenance work and corresponding work orders.
8. Establish and Maintain Controlled Exchange Procedures and Program.
9. Coordinate External Maintenance Support where and when needed.
10. Establish and Maintain BDAR / DART Procedures.
11. Coordinate all Test Flights and MOC’s with each company.
12. Will participate in all periodic flight safety reviews.

Qualification
• Certificate in aircraft maintenance and supply chain management from a military or civilian school.
• Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance FAA A&P certificate or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of aircraft avionics and mechanical parts functions and maintenance requirements. Must have thorough knowledge on use of common tools, special tools, hardware, and equipment’s used in the aviation maintenance. Education can be substituted for experience.
• PMP or ARMY Aviation Maintenance Managers Course (AMOC) preferred.
Experience
• Minimum of 15 Years Experience in Aviation Maintenance at the AVIM or combined experience military and civilian at a designated FAA repair station.
• Minimum of 10 Years Civilian experience in lieu of this specialized school will be: worked in a management position at a FAA repair facility.
• Direct maintenance management experience in the unit’s production control and or Quality sections.
• Must have worked in; Unit AVUM/AVIM level at the production control/quality control section at the management level.
• The PPCM will have an understanding of Logistics and the direct relationship to aviation maintenance and readiness.
• Understands shop and maintenance management and component repair at level
• Full working knowledge of The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) and reporting system.
