Responsible for required to inspect, maintain and repair the aircraft. Primary duties are Sheet Metal. Perform structural repair and modification on the Aircraft. Troubleshoot, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft sheet metal components, composites and hydraulics. Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required. Carries out directives from the Supervisor in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. Perform O, I and D Level when it’s applicable.
1. Responsible for the overall Sheet Metal assignment in the platform.
2. Perform a variety of operations to assemble and make major assembly structures such as fuselage panels and bulkheads, and structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps, and stabilizers.
3. Perform such minor part-fitting operations as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
4. Modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure.
5. Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
6. Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products.
7. Remove/install aircraft components as required.
8. Fabricate and or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts.
9. Perform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detached.
10. Assist in conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures.
11. Assist with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft.
12. Operate ground support equipment as required.
13. Assist with aircraft component repair.
14. Perform mechanical/electrical removals and installations as required.
15. May assist with maintenance at off-site locations.
16. Assist in wing removal as required.
17. Assist maintenance as required.
18. Inspect confined areas of the airframe.
19. Assist in designing, modifying, and welding metal fixtures as required.
20. Assist in providing time estimates as required.
21. Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed using tools required.
22. Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts and metal driver clips, ensuring work is done carefully and bonds will last.
23. Ensure that efficiency is maximized while fabricating and installing systems.
24. Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to ensure safety and a seamless appearance.
25. Oversee select the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specifications.
26. Enters required Data into Computerized maintenance records i.e., aircraft forms and, history records.
27. Manage the orders required equipment and supplies.
28. Performs collateral duty inspections and collateral duty quality assurance inspections as required.
29. Assure work carried out has been completed in accordance with the relevant approved Technical Data.
30. Demonstrate a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role and take direction appropriately.
31. Act as Supervisor during periods of his absence.
32. Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff.
33. Perform other related duties/tasks as assigned by the Direct Line Manager.

Qualification
Minimum Qualification:
• Technical diploma or skill level 7 or 9 certified in respective trade, QC or Train the Trainer.
• Military aircraft experience letter or equivalent.
Experience
• Minimum of 8 – 10 years of experience within maintenance operations area at an Airbase.
• Knowledge of aircraft launching and recovering processes
• Knowledge of basic maintenance processes and procedures
• Understanding of aircraft structure, components, troubleshooting, wiring system and functions. Etc.
