The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact. A graphic designer works to a brief agreed with the client, creative director or account manager. They develop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the client's objectives. The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
1. Meeting Clients or account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job.
2. Interpreting the client's business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose.
3. Estimating the time required to complete the work and providing quotes for clients.
4. Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research.
5. Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
6. Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.
7. Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to clients or account managers.
8. Working with a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided design (CAD).
9. Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.
10. Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.
11. Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches.
12. Working on layouts and art working pages ready for print.
13. Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as QuarkXPress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Fireworks, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Acrobat, Director, Dreamweaver and Flash.
14. Developing interactive design.
15. Commissioning illustrators and photographers.
16. Working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists.
17. Job may involve managing more than one design brief at a time and allocating the relevant amount of time according to the value of the job.
18. Applying Creative Design based on a rough brief in a short period of time.
19. The role involves listening to clients and understanding their needs before making design decisions.
20. Their design are required for a huge variety of products and activities, such as websites, digital publishing, advertising, brochures, posters, product packaging, targeted materials, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity, e.g. giving organizations a visual brand.

Qualification
Minimum Qualification:
Possess a Bachelor Degree preferably in Art or Design Graphics and possess three to five years’ experience as a Graphic Designer (or similar responsibilities). Creative in creating interactive design that can communicate the correct message to the audience. Strong attention to detail. Promote high-quality, intuitive and interactive design and ideas. Experience in developing design brief, illustrative sketches and layouts in a Design Development Life Cycle. Strong interpersonal skill in a team-based environment.
Experience in HTML, CSS & Flash is an advantage.
Experience
• Possesses at least 3 years experience in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and other image manipulation software
• Applying Creative Design based on a rough brief in a short period of time
• Understanding of the Design Development Life Cycle to produce a Design Solution
• Working knowledge of creating a design brief, illustrative sketches and Design Solution
• Ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment
• Utilize creative skills to help contribute to design decisions
• Strong knowledge in gathering information and data through research & analysis in developing a design brief
