Engineer - Power Plant

The Engineer – Power Plant is responsible for providing technical engineering support related to aircraft gas turbine engines, ensuring continued airworthiness, reliability, and operational readiness of the fleet. The role supports engine health monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance planning activities, SB/AD assessments, OEM coordination, and AOG recovery support within a Part M / CAMO environment.
The position will support powerplant engineering activities related to Rolls-Royce, GE, Pratt & Whitney, and other OEM engine platforms, with particular focus on Trent 700 engine support and Airbus A330 operations.

• Provide technical engineering support for aircraft powerplant systems and engine-related operational issues.
• Review, assess, and coordinate implementation of Service Bulletins (SBs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and other OEM technical documentation.
• Monitor engine reliability, performance trends, and Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) data to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of engine-related technical defects and AOG situations.
• Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and MRO providers regarding engine repairs, technical queries, and engineering solutions.
• Support engine maintenance planning activities including shop visit requirements, LLP tracking, and overhaul coordination.
• Manage obsolescence and lifecycle-related engineering activities for powerplant components and systems.
• Prepare engineering assessments, technical reports, and recommendations related to engine performance and airworthiness.
• Ensure all engineering activities are performed in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and company procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to engine reliability, maintenance optimization, and operational efficiency.

Qualification
• Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Additional aviation or engine-related certifications are advantageous.
• EASA / FAA / GCAA knowledge preferred.
Experience
• Minimum 8–10 years of aviation engineering experience within an airline, CAMO, OEM, or major MRO environment.
• Strong experience in aircraft powerplant engineering and technical support.
• Experience supporting Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines is highly preferred.
• Experience within a Part M / Continuing Airworthiness environment is required.
• Strong exposure to Airbus A330 aircraft operations and troubleshooting.
• Experience with:
• Engine Health Monitoring (EHM)
• Service Bulletin (SB) and Airworthiness Directive (AD) assessments
• Obsolescence management
• Aircraft on Ground (AOG) technical support
• Reliability analysis and defect investigations
• Experience coordinating with OEMs and external MRO providers.
