The Controller –Production Control is responsible for directing overall maintenance at their unit. Enforcing strict adherence to technical data and management procedures.
Ensures aircraft and equipment forms and documentation are complete, accurate and accomplished.
2. Makes sure that the aircraft status is accurately reflected in both aircraft logs and maintenance forms.
3. Participates in developing and executing the monthly and weekly maintenance schedules/plans.
4. Keeps informed of all ongoing maintenance efforts and coordinates with Maintenance Control, Flight line Expediter and other commands for support.
5. Authorizes Cannibalization actions when authorized.
6. Fully understands and is prepared to implement specific disaster control duties and responsibilities pertaining to aircraft movement and personnel evacuation plans and directives.
7. Keeps the Manager Operations informed when the maintenance status changes.
8. Understands the Master contract and AMMROC’s deliverables.
9. Assists in the movement of components to shops and stores as required.
10. Understands Oracle and occasionally enters maintenance data into the MIS.
11. Assigns priorities for component ordering and/or repair.
12. Liaisons with work shop supervisors, production planners, and stores personnel.
13. Initiates the disaster control plan when required.
14. Reviews completed maintenance action forms for entry into the MIS.
15. Authorizes “controlled substitution” to meet flight scheduled sorties.
16. Reconciles AWP (Awaiting Parts) status with Material Logistics as scheduled
17. On an on-going basis, examines current operational processes to identify and implement potential operational improvements that will positively impact upon service, safety, environmental and cost performance
18. Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Maintenance Operations at the Facility to guarantee employee safety, legislative
19. compliance, delivery of high quality aircraft maintenance service and a responsible environmental attitude
20. Sponsors opportunities to take part in change initiatives, programs and projects thatreflect international best practices and changes in the competitive environment.
21. Ensures direct reports adhere to and support all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls, promoting employee safety, legislative compliance and to promote a responsible environmental attitude.
22. Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
23. Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.

Qualification
Minimum Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace maintenance or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum of 4- 5 years’ experience working in an aviation aircraft maintenance environment /or Production with an airbase maintenance program or an MRO facility for military aircrafts.
• Knowledge of military aircraft operations
• Knowledge of aerospace industry best practice
• Strong aircraft engineering and maintenance skills
