Reports directly to and works closely with the 2nd Line Maintenance Team Leader, as assigned, on all issues pertaining assigned AH-64 phase maintenance sections. Coordinates maintenance activities and implements the Aviation Maintenance Manager’s directives and may temporarily assume duties of the Maintenance Team Lead as directed.
Will also be responsible for :-
1. Directly manage and responsible for assigned maintenance personnel. Must ensure that all aircraft inspection procedures, maintenance practices, standards, and records comply with all OEM, FAA, TAMMS, Company`s Group regulations. May be assigned to either a phase team or the unscheduled (heavy) maintenance team.
2. Responsible for the oversight, guidance, and counceling of all maintenance personnel assigned to the section.
3. Assist the Maintenance Team Lead in the direction of all primary and recurring and training activities of all maintenance personnel assigned to the section.
4. Ensuring that all aircraft are being maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, technical manuals, airworthiness directives, and good maintenance practices.
5. Responsible for the direction of all maintenance personnel when conducting comprehensive phase inspections, modifications, the repair of aircraft structure, engines, and accessories.
6. Responsible for informing the Maintenance Team Lead of all aircraft maintenance considering such factors as work flow, location of equipment facilities, tools, supplies, and job requirements.
7. Maintain a close liason with the Maintenance Team Lead and Test Pilots to provide current status of aircraft and forcast down-times.
8. Determine maintenance personnel requirements based on present and projected work loads.
9. Must be responsible for all assigned personnel during duty hours.
10. Must assure that all assigned personnel have the tools, equipment, and training in order to support the mission requirements of the Fixed Wing Group. Must ensure a healthy work environment and must be able to lead by example.
11. Other duties as assigned by respective Team Lead.

Qualification
• High school graduate (BA or BS in any aviation discipline preferred).
• Must have FAA A&P certificate and FCC liscense or equivalent with no prior FAR violations.
• US ARMY Aviation Maintenance Managers School (ANCOC) or equilivant preffered.
Experience
• Must have prior experience working on AH-64 Series rotary wing aircraft with at least 5 years supervisory experience. AH-64D/E preferred.
• 5 years Aviation Maintenance Management experience, military or equivalent civilian experience at a designated FAA repair station, (US Army AVUM, AVIM Level with a working knowledge of US Army TAMMS and associated reports preferred).
• Preferably a good knowledge of Army maintenance practices including The Army Maintenance Management System for Aviation (TAMMS-A), the use of common tools, special tools, hardware, and equipment used in the maintenance of aircraft.
